How often do you actually get a domain through them ? Im eyeing one that expired 4-1-2004 and I want this one in the worst way... is it worth it ?

That site is a such a gimmick. Not that Im sayin it'd never work for you but c'mon this is a bigger scam than insurance.

Usually, they always get the domain.
They are the best ones out there.

well if it saves me the hassle of looking everyday to see if its available, and will auto register it immediatley I guess its a good thing... if it gets it... if not it sucks

Hope it works... I guess you can try it on another name if it doesnt work out with the name you want initialy

Yeah if the first name you want isn't available, you can use it on other names for up to a year. I've got my order on a certain name right now, I'll let you know how it goes in 30-45 days.

I use Snapnames and Pool when I really want a domain. Fairly good win rate.

Snapnames haven't picked up much for me. I'm not talking premium names either, so maybe they're just accepting the $60 and only focusing on the best names. I've got 20+ backorders paid for and many of them I've had to keep swapping for other names and renewing the backorders when they expire.

Snapnames really does work and it is the best service of its kind out there. It can take as much as two months to be able to get a domain that has expired because of a registrars grace period.

I've used snapnames before with success. More expensive then
just registering it of course. However it's worth it as I'm sure
being in bed with verisign/networksolutions gives them some
priority. Even if it is anti-competitive.
