Whats a good color combinatin for a shirt and tie?

So I got a wedding I'm attending tomorrow and I want to buy a green shirt to wear...but what color of tie would go good with it? I am wearing a jet black suit, black shoes, green shirt... but dont know the tie..

So you style guru's hook a brotha up!

I was thinking about black.. Originally i wanted a silver tie, but the groom is wearing a similar green coloured shirt and a silver tie, so I can't look like him...

find a tie that has like a paisley print (i know that sounds froofy) that has different colors with the same color green as your shirt mixed in it

Try a different color green tie...tone on tone usually looks really good.

Or try black.

yellow and green? as in all yellow? uhm...NO

You want to look stylish? Take your shirt to a GOOD mens store, tell them the color of your suit and let them pick the tie for you. It seems whenever I do this they always seem to suggest a tie that everyone comments on....so it is worth the hour out of your time.

Go tone in tone - a light green shirt and a dark green tie - looks nice if you have a black suit.
