IMPORTANT INFORMATION Regarding CCBILL900 Telephone Billing Payments
I would like to say that this situation is VERY WELL HANDLED BY CCBILL --- it completely solidifies my decision to keep them as Lightspeedcash's primary processor.
Steve Lightspeed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From CCbill's Admin section: IMPORTANT INFORMATION Regarding CCBILL900 Telephone Billing Payments Dear CCBill Client: CCBill would like to take a moment to explain the delay in payment distribution for its 900# telephone billing solution. Our initial 900#,Third-Party Telecom Vendor, the company we used to bill and collect from the telephone companies from January 22, 2004 to March 11, 2004, has not paid us for a single transaction that they may or may not have processed. Furthermore, all efforts to contact them and ascertain status of payment from them have been fruitless. Though we spent over a year working with this 900# vendor to rollout the product offering, and have made every effort to collect these funds, we are yet to receive a remittance for these sales. While collection efforts continue, our primary concern is to ensure a quick and fair resolution for only the CCBill900 Beta and Initial Release Clients that helped us test and rollout this product during the January 22 through March 11 timeframe. Because of the unique circumstances that surround this incidence, and because this select group of clients agreed to assist us test this service prior to and immediately following the feature's hard release, CCBill Management has decided to make a special, one-time only gesture, and compensate CCBill900 Telephone Billing Clients for all transactions processed during this time frame. Within the next couple weeks, this select group of Clients should expect to see in their weekly sales check, a one-time only, retro-payment for their 900# transactions that occurred during the above time period. Each affected client will be individually notified as to their individual amounts and calculations.* Please note: Following this one-time adjustment for the select group of accounts, ALL CCBill900 Clients will begin to receive their 900# sales payouts* for 900# Telephone Billing transactions which occurred after the above noted time period. *The retro-payment and all future CCBill900 sales payouts are equal to the Client's 900# sales for the specific time period, minus their associated CCBill900 service fees for actual collected amounts from the 900# vendors. In an effort to offer our clients expanded billing options, we employ third party vendors for outside services such as 900# Telephone Billing and Dialer solutions. These alternative billing methods are by nature, riskier and less reliable in terms of payouts than credit card transactions (on average a 20-30% uncollectible rate can be expected on all phone billing options). Because the responsibility for collection lies completely in the hands of the phone carrier, it is not guaranteed that we will receive funds from these service providers, thus we can not and do not guarantee consistent payouts for these types of transactions to you, the client. However, because of the commitment and assistance of our Beta and Initial Release CCBill900 Clients provided us, their one-time retro-payment will also include any uncollectible sales that might have occurred during the same period of time. In other words, we are even paying our beta clients the 20-30% that likely would not have been collected as a special Thank You for their help! As a precautionary reminder, we are careful to fully disclose the specific terms and payment schedule for CCBill900 transactions in our Service Agreement. All clients must agree to these terms prior to adding this service to their portfolio of payment options. Please remember that from this point forward CCBill will only pay clients for those transactions which we have received payment from the telephone carriers. We believe it is important to note that despite its inherent risks, 900# Telephone billing remains a very popular form of payment and can be quite effective in helping to capture additional revenue streams from domestic consumers who do not have or choose not to own a credit card. As for the current status of the 900# Telephone billing feature, CCBill has established additional relationships with vendors in an effort to continue to provide 900# services to our clients. We at CCBill are committed to making every effort to exceed the expectations of our clients. As we work to resolve this issue, we truly appreciate the cooperation and patience we have received from our CCBill900# Clients. It is our hope that they will find this solution a fair and acceptable resolution. If you have any questions regarding this one-time only retro-payment, or any questions regarding CCBill services and solutions, please feel free to contact our Client Services Department at 800.510.2859 or by email at [email protected]. They are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Many Thanks, CCBill Management

How many times do people have to touch the hot stove? 900 numbers for some reason dont work as a payment method. Why do people insist on continuing to use them? Also that says for select clients what about the unselect clients ?

That is fantastic to hear CCBill will absorb this loss. The "other billing" company should take lessons here. After all, their banner of wanting us back isn't working out too well it seems ![]() WG

CCBill says: "These alternative billing methods are by nature, riskier and less reliable in terms of payouts than credit card transactions (on average a 20-30% uncollectible rate can be expected on all phone billing options)."
So if you use phone billing, do you just accept that 20-30% loss as part of doing business? I really want to use phone billing, but the idea of 20-30% of my members getting complete access to my site for free just really bothers me. |

This is why I trust CCBill with Ghostcash's processing, and why I love pushing programs that process through them.
