I know two people that did and are now suffering from fucked up Kidneys..

Good luck with it.

Your kidneys help process protien. When you get too much protien, your body will start to reject it. Kinda the same as when you don't drink enough water your body stores all the water it can (hence, water weight). Start drinking a lot of water again, and what does your body do? It rejects it, and you shed your water weight.

Same thing happens with protien. Eat too much of it and your body will start to reject it. resulting in painful kidneys and even kidney stones.

You NEED carbs. You just need to know how to moderate how much you eat. Your body NEEDS a balance.

Waste of time - the best diet to try is the "eat less, exercise more" diet.

Stick to it and it works every time...

fuck atkins... just start hitting the proper steroids... for accelerated fat-loss i'd recommend the following stack for a newbler:

week 1

clenbutrol 50mcg daily
arimidex 25mg daily
oxandrolone 30mg daily (am & pm)

week 2

clenbutrol 100mcg daily
T3 thyroid armour 15mcg daily (5 on, 2 off)
oxandrolone 45mg daily (am & pm)

week 3

clenbutrol 50mcg daily
T3 thyroid armour 30mcg daily
oxandrolone 30mg daily (am & pm)
nolvadex 20mg EOD (every other day)

week 4

clenbutrol 25mcg daily (loses potency in week 4)
oxandrolone 15mg daily (am only)
nolvadex 10mg EOD
arimidex 25mg EOD

do all that w/ at least 30 mins of cardio EOD and you are guaranteed to drop 3-5% of your bodyfat, oxandrolone (anavar) is a very low anabolic w/ near no aromatization properties so its ok to stay "on" anavar past the monthly period for its hardening and vascular qualities...

better living through science..!

No carb diet is not the best way of putting it.

You have to know which carbs are ok and which are not.

An example is Salad. You can eat all the salad you want while on a low carb diet and it is great for you. You need the vitamins, minerlas and fiber/ruffage for your system.

Also broc, aspar is great to eat.

Janell,

I do not recommend a NO Carb diet. But knowing your carbs can be key to losing weight.

Sugars and starches can mess with your blood sugar level and send your body into highs and lows that mess with your metabolism.

My biggest pieces of advice to anyone are here.

Eat more protein, eat better carbs, monitor your calories, measure your food, and not all fat is bad.

Check out this article

http://www.ediets.com/news/article.c...d_1/code_24565

has some good stuff in there. Try and get away from processed foods also. I spend different days cooking up bunches of food like BBQing chicken and stuff like that so I can put together easy meals for the whole week.

Also, look at eating more frequent meals throughout the day. This simple change can speed up your metabolism and cause your body on the same amount of calories to actually lose weight. I shoot for eating smaller meals every 3 hours.

Either way the trick is burning more calories than you take in. Nothing works better then good ole hard ass work and sweating on a stairmaster, bike, or treadmill. Combine that with a good diet. And you will watch the pounds burn off and the lean muscle pile on. Lean muscle also helps to burn more calories so the more you change your body make up the easier it is to keep the weight where you want it.

Hope that helped.

Works quite well.

Dump the carbs and loose the wieght and introduce the healthly carbs back into you system.

BTW, if you go back to your way of eating....the pounds you lost will come right back.

we're doing a LOW carb diet now, too
20 carbs or less each day right now.

One nice thing is that since I changed my diet, I am not getting hammered by migraine headaches anymore.

Been doing it for a little over a week now & so far it's 8lbs lost. The thing is that I need some type of carbs so I'm looking for different variations before I get bored of it and drop it like a hot potatoe. If I ever reach my goal - it has to be easy to maintain or I lose interest!

I've been doing the Atkins for about 4 months, and have lost about 20 lbs, but now I've been stuck at the same weight for about a month or so. It's difficult to stick to, and after the first week your results become less and less, so don't be discouraged.

Amazing how fucking clueless people are with the Low carb diets. It's not a "NO" carb diet. You have to eat carbs. Just less.

works fine, just combine it with excercise, lose the weight and then get back to a south beach style approved diet of mostly meat and veggies. it's a fine diet for me and i don't miss the breads and pasta all that much. i eat berries for bfast (or bacon/eggs/fruits), salads for lunch, meat and veggies for dinner, etc. Have nuts and cheeses for snacks. Even fruits with exercise. Or a whole wheat sandwich on a long hike. Once a week, I'll carb up on sushi! Yum. All weekend, I drink as much beer as i want and don't stress over carbs as long as I stick to my diet during the week, the weight stays off.

Keep in mind that since getting on the diet, my portions are a lot smaller too and I'm limiting my intake of high fat foods (sausage/bacon/beef--I opt for chicken, turkey or fish instead), so it's a low carb, low fat, low calorie, high exercise diet. I've lost the weight and feel great! What other diet can you have bacon and eggs for bfast and steak and lobster everynight!!
