Well good damn luck..... I was partners in a domain and we had such hell getting them to change it over that we decided to let it expire and I would buy it back.... this was on April 4th when it expired and NS has STILL not released it so I can buy the fucker.... so if you figure out how to get their nasty hands off it, let me know.

k heres a quick lesson on expired domain names.....
#1 just becuase the domain says expires for example jan 07 2001 doesnt mean jack shit! The domain will become usually available anywaywhere from 30 - 90 days after that time frame. remember USUALLY!!! In order to find out exactly when it will become available I suggest checking the who is records every 3 days or so and looking for the whois to change from the owner to a messege something to the effct of: "This domain cannot be found in the local DB" something like that i forget the exact lingo they use! Once you see that line of text there will be a date that says Last updated say march 07 2001 from that day tack on 6 days! making it march 13 2001 and try and register it at 6:30 - 7am! If you want more detailed info or help reaquiring them contact me i do it for companies!! Keev 104463163 |

I get my domains thru easyhosting.com and they will hold onto a domain for 60 days after the expiry date. Just in case I forgot that it was going to expiry.
It is probably a hassle for people waiting for expired domains, but its a godsend for the person who forgot to renew the domain ![]() |

Unfortunately, there is no definitive time period for when a domain name will be sent back in to the public domain.
If it's a *good* domain, you can count on never seeing it again. *If* NetSol releases the domain, they're usually snapped up again by 6 or 7 am by companies that specialize in reselling domains. (Expired domains are re-released at 6:30am or so) Adam |

It can take quite awhile and nobody at NSI seems to have a clue as to how it really works. I had a trademark dispute happening over a domain and the offender let it expire while it was going so I had to wait like 3 months for it drop. Got it Xmas day last year.
