Reaction to GFY Shirt in Seattle WA

Just got back from a trip to Seattle for the weekend and all day today I wore my GFY shirt around town.. Got a lot of looks.. People from waiters to Vallets, to tourists would read my shirt with a smile, and then the smile would instantly dispear.. Like they got scared! It was soo fucking funny!

I was in front of the sextracker building today and there was a folk festival across the street at the Seattle Center and I got bitched at by some hippies! Hippies of all people bithced at me!! The same people who protest and yell at socitey for its influence of conformity were bitchin at me!! I guess the anit-conformity people wanted me to conform to society's norms cause I made them uncomfortable!! It was the funniest fucking thing all year!! Maybe they were just Sextracker employees pissed off cause they didnt have a GFY shirt yet!

There are some "hippies" who just love to bitch at anything & everything just so they'll have something to bitch at. If everything was right with the world, they would still find something to bitch at even if it's an ant crossing the sidewalk. We call them hippie-wannabes

It's too bad someone has to explain this to you, but Hippies are for a mellow attitude and friendliness that isn't compatible with a GoFuckYourself T-shirt.

Ahem. Coming from that generation and being about the only thing that could be compared to a real hippie or flower child around here.... ummm Hippies didn't care for the flagrant use of what the generation before us determined as foul words.

We were anti-establishment but in a totally passive way. Sit ins, Farrrrrr Outtttt man, and such were the words. Not F you buddy.

These werent the blast form the past hippies, these were the new modern day hippies, much different from those that stood for something in the 70's.

I love Unseenworld's comment about hippies and the

Almost sounds like the modern day hippies are soldiers for the political correctness movement! Telling us whats right and whats wrong and how we should think and look. Once a group of anit-conformists telling people to be them selves and not give in to PC are now soldiers for PC and conformity for what ever it is that doesnt offend them.

The new Republican Hippy is evolving.

Sounds like remade over Yuppies to me. Maybe we should call em Bush Yippies. Or the Brain Dead Patrol.

What makes me laugh is the Repubs that make 50k-500k thinking they get more benefits from a Repub govt. Yeah uh-huh. They get diddly unless they make >1 mil and then its a touch and go unless its old money.

I'd rather be a Dem and give the tax dollars to feed others than be a Repub and pay for some city to have brick walks put down just to make it look 'pretty'. (Besides the fact that the really conservative ones have to have their butts loosened weekly from all the tight clenching they do)

I've recently heard bad rumours about Lensman.

Apparently he likes to raise the dead.
