Burning Bridges
Whether you want to believe it or not, you can burn bridges in many different ways. Sometimes the method isn't always clear when it is happening. Example, let's say you contract someone to do a project for you. They complete the project, and then you take a while to pay them for their completed assignment... You may be burning a bridge if you don't keep them informed about the status of that payment. Let them know every couple of days, and keep them in the loop. Don't make them chase you down.
On the other side, if someone hires you to do something, and you take a while to complete it, you are probably burning that bridge for future business with that person. Communication is the key to keeping an open line of positive business. If you have business dealings with someone, make sure you keep them informed with what is happening, regardless. If you are taking a long time to do something, let the party know and do your best to speed things up. As well, if someone is taking a while, let them know that you understand, and incourage them to try to speed things up. Anger and frustrtation only complicates the issue all the way around, and may actually slow the process down. That's all for now. -PW ![]() |

This was just a thought I was having about things in general. I've been on both sides of this in the past, and thought it might be a useful topic. Nobody owes me and I owe noone at the moment.

I have found that positive reinforcement with whoever the debtor is (whether it's financial or service oriented), always wins. Negativity and getting irritated with those individuals will burn that bridge entirely.
