if u are trying to burn fat is skim milk bad for you?

someone is telling me not to drink skim milk even though there is no fat there is sugar and will prevent fat loss?

i like my whey protein shakes with milk instead of water..

or is it not a big deal?

Technically when it all comes down to it, it works like this:

If calories going in are less than the calories you expend you lose weight. Yes, there are low fat, no fat diets among many others...but the basics are just eat right, but eat less.

So skim milk is fine as long as your overall intake of calories is less than you need to sustain your activity.

what about the sugar affect.. doesnt the amount of sugar you consume play a role in your fat burning

I think if you really work hard, and dedicate yourself to loosing weight, wouldn't have to matter what kind of milk you drink.

I think the only people who have the correct answer to the question probably aren't posting on this board

i drink protein shakes with nonfat milk after working out. if you're looking to burn fat, you should lift and then do cardio afterwards for 20-30 minutes. working out in the morning is also good and eating breakfast every morning is essential.

i'd go into more details about why you should do this, but i have to get back to work. you can google these things
