If you aren't married - have you ever thought to yourself if the women you date, or are dating, are in it for the money? Did you ever think about how you are going to ask her to sign a prenup (if you're going too at all)? Don't you wish there was an easier way to do that?

To those that are married - did you have your partner sign one? How hard did you find it?

I know when I got married - that was one of the hardest things to do, was to actually have the balls to ask my wife to sign one - she did it tho, I just wonder when that'll bite me in the ass in an upcoming fight.

When I asked if she'd sign one, she didn't flinch...but we all know women but shit like that in the back of their mind to be used when it's convenient.

The question at hand tho is how we, the men, feel about the situation. It took all the balls i had to ask that question - she theoretically could have said fuck off, then taken 1/2 my shit anyway considering we were common-law.

I would never marry without a prenup. I own/co-own several companies and it would be very stupid not to have a prenup with the laws we have here. If my future wife doesn't want to sign a prenup she can marry somebody else

Well, my girlfriend has known this from the very beginning and we've been together for more than four years.

I wouldn't even found a company with somebody that is married and doesn't have marriage contract. Two of my business partners had to make a marriage contract with their wives before we founded the company together.

I just know too many cases where a lot of things went very wrong because people didn't have marriage contracts.

Blame it on your partners. rquire it of them and have them require it of you.

Also, a trick someone told me. Make the prenup a joke very early in the deal when she first finds out you have a little more then most. "nice big screen tv" "yep, it goes in the prenup too"

Sort of kills of the I am marrying him for his money bit.

Yep, we even wanted to put that in our company agreement, so that all partners have to have a marriage contract with certain terms, but it's not possible here.

I don't see any problems with a prenup anyway. You can make it fair for both parties. I rather have a few discussions and a small legal fee before I get married than having big problems and a huge legal fee in case I get divorced.
