NOt a rummor.
Michigan & WI had big prolems of that happening in specific locations, where 10 miles away prices remained the same. Here in MT gas whent up by $1, & a few stations ran out of fuel. I know peopel who whent out last night & it took them 20-30min in line. Stuff seems back to normal this morning. |

I'm was in NYC yesterday morning and early afternoon.
We're now north of Manhatten in Rockland County, and have seen no noticable increase in prices. |

Most places here were up about ten cents a gallon. I'm not complaining yet.
Oh except this one arab fucker that is up twenty cents a gallon. I never shop there anyway as I've seen him watch black customers like they do on sitcoms. |

Here in Houghton, MI (Upper Michigan) it was $1.69 last night, then it went up 20 cents to $1.89 today. I've heard rumors that it was up to $3.00 about 80 miles from here, but there's nothing definate on that. I've read in the newspaper that some places like in OK, they were charging $3-4 per gallon, I guess that it must be patchy.
You should've seen the lines around here. It took me about 35 minutes for me to get gas, what an unusual site. |

Any gas station charging a ridiculous amount of money for gas is ridiculous. There really is not a shortage of gas in this country, there is plenty in reserves. The reason gas stations are running out of gas is because people think there is a gas crisis, everyone is going out and filling up their tanks. Instead of driving around with a 1/4 of a tank, most people are driving around with full tanks.. people's inventories of gas are high, so if you see a gas station charging 4 or 5 dollars a gallon, just rememer its not due to a gas shortage, its them being unethical and taking advantage of consumers...

Yesterday, a few gas stations went from $1.69 to $1.95. The one station that didn't go up also had cars lined up for a block getting gas. I went this afternoon & the place was empty.
My sister talked to a guy who had a brother in Oklahoma who put up $5.00 on the sign as a joke but was still changing $1.69. Not very many found it funny. In Topeka, they are now going to fine people if they rise the gas prices too high. I wonder when toilet paper is going to reach $95 a roll... ------------------ I have a dream & you can share that dream too at Moongem Erotica [This message has been edited by Jamdin (edited 09-12-2001).] |

actually, there is MORE than enough fuel...
theres no planes flying, so theres a lot of gas that isnt being used. The gas stations are taking america's panic to their advantage by charging more. Whatta fuckin shame too!! |

As high as $5.00 a gallon Tuesday afternoon here in Central Il but they were back down to $2.00 after the local news and the govenor started talking about gouging. Even have a Caseys little local chain like 7/11 that says they will refund the difference from people that paid $4 earlier Tuesday as now the state attorny general has filed a law suit against them and others.

Today gas price at some places, that were up twenty cents yesterday, lowered their prices.
I didn't see many gas stations but one I noticed was only up a nickel a gallon over what it was before the attack. It had gas at $1.43 a gallon I'm sure it will go up as Louisiana was having some transfer problems the day before the attack. Local news said to call the police if any store were found to be gouging. |

A picture in the paper today of a guys receipt that paid $10 a gallon! He only bought 3.3 gallons because he was about to run out. $33.00 to get 36 miles because he was driving a big truck for work.
Crazy stuff. Balljoints |
