Yeah I always liked Blind Melon. I enjoyed listening to the Smashing Pumpkins too.

Ive been a huge blind melon fan since their first album was released...even before the No rain hype. I think for about 2 years there wasnt 1 day i didnt listen to their albums. I still listen to it every now and then...i will always love their music.

Singer died way too young. I loved his lyrics. My buddy's never liked his voice which i can imagine. Its not for everybody.

Ive seen them play live a couple of times. I mailed a couple of times with basist...very friendly guy. He sent me an autographed mini cd of the band he started after Blind Melon.

I went to the same school as Shannon Hoon, and I saw him the day before he left for what would be his last tour, he died 3 weeks later. This guy had talent most people only dream of.

If he was still alive he would be a mega star today.

Even if you dont know the band most of you have seen the singer in the clip of Dont cry by Guns n roses. Axl is singing with this other dude on the roof of this building. That other guy is Shannon. You can clearly hear him sing the high 2nd voice through out the song. He did quite some background vocals on the use your illusion cd's. Y
