For People Who Know About Fixing Up Cars, Need Your Advice.

I have an 03' Audi A4 1.8t, and its a pretty quick car its an automatic with a 6-speed multitronic (if that means anything) but I wanna make it a lot quicker, any suggestions on what I could do, especially for the acceleration off the line.....?

You can chip it, it's already a turbo, but you can also upgrade your exhaust etc. it's already a pretty quick engine. Check this guy out, he does incredible work on German cars. He does racecars etc regularly.

I agree, the most significant thing you can do to a normally aspirated motor is to add a turbo or Supercharger. A chip and or exhaust may improve performace, but only slightly! you will probably only notice that the car sounds like it's perfoming better, but in truth the gains are tiny! A Turbo will make a huge difference that you can enjoy!

I have an Audi 1.8t as well.

first and formost. Do an ecu chip upgrade. Its worth about 40-50 TRUE HP increase.

I got mine on Ebay, it cost me $600 with a spare ECU. It a great idea to get a spare ECU this way you dont mess with your stock one and you dont void the warrenty.

Check out Audiworld.com.

Turbo doesn't help anycar until mid 1st gear because the turbo is powered by your exhaust manifold...therefore exhaust has to come out before the turbine gets to spinning.

If you get exhaust, get headers. Exhaust isn't much, but the headers will help at least 20 HP.

Lighter wheels... I'm not sure what type of look your going for, but if you want looks, go with light-weight racing rims that look good on the car. Lighter wheels don't sound like much, but the ratio for an average wheel is 1 lb = 10 pounds the engine has to push.

Advanced spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coil make a huge difference in response.

The list continues.. just do some research.
Peace
