It seems as though, from my limited perspective and experience, that they are placing much more emphasis on on-page optimization which might be why I'm doing well. My site is structured in xhtml/css and I paid close attention to those other on-page factors.
I only have 23 backlinks (many of which are still unaccounted for, only 4 are currently showing in the backlinks of yahoo), and although I have made sure to pay close attention to my anchor text - I'm clearly beating sites who have 100's of backlinks. Or perhaps the terms I'm shooting for just aren't all that competitive, although I do know "fitness plans" is at least somewhat competitive, and I'm #5. |
