actually, there have been a shitload of studies on this and it actually is "good" for the lungs (not good but... i'll explain)

THC in order to be effective must attach itself to the lung. After being all used up, the body no longer needs it so the THC detaches itself from the lung wall, when it detaches itself it actually pulls shit like tar/nicotine/crap from the lung walls with it.

In a study of 12 people, all 12 smoked 1 pack of ciggs per day, 6 people were given nothing but 1 pack of ciggs a day and 0 joints, and the other 6 were given 1 pack of ciggs/day and X amount of joints (i think 6 joints/day not sure off hand) over a 6 month period

anywho, end of study, the people who smoked weed & ciggs for that 6 month study had cleaner lungs then the people who didn't smoke weed.
