Pfizer (PFE) Predictions

Quote:
Pfizer Drops

Pfizer was the biggest drag on the S&P 500 and Dow average. The stock tumbled $1.46 to $24.29, bringing its two-day slide to 16 percent, the steepest such decline since October 1987.

The No. 1 drugmaker on Dec. 17 said its Celebrex painkiller more than doubled the risk of heart attacks in a study. Credit Suisse First Boston today cut Pfizer's 12-month share-price forecast to $24 from $28.

The Amex pharmaceutical index has dropped 8.4 percent this year, paced by Pfizer and Merck & Co., which in September withdrew its rival Vioxx painkiller because of safety concerns. Pfizer and Merck shares trade for about 12 times estimated earnings, while the S&P 500 has a multiple of 18.

``Pharmaceutical stocks are cheap, but the one thing that has us concerned has been headline risk,'' said Knott Capital's Barron. ``There could be news coming out about the efficacy or safety of a major drug, or about disclosure of its research.''
What do you guys see in the shareholders future, if Celebrex ends up getting pulled completely?
I have a tendency of jinxing myself, so I'll stay quiet for now.

I have a very large position with Pfizer and I am not flinching. Now may be a good time to sell some of your shares if you want to take a loss for the 2004 tax year but other then that long term things should be fine.

Pfizer has a lot in there pipe line. The current problems with Celebrex has already been factored into the stock price but some of the sheep are still fleeing.

I will add to my position soon. This stock is a bargain right now even if they have to take Celebrex off the market.

of course

Look out below. Id definitely get out. The chart both short and long term looks terrible. Stock broke through long term support in the mid 20s. It's going to the teens.

Sure some "experts" have it at $18 a share by the end of December. Others have it at $30 a share by Jan.31. The bottom line is as long as your long term Pfizer will be a money maker.

Day Traders are having a field day right now.

I dont listen to the experts. I just look at fundamentals and charts. PFE chart says its going to go lower before it bottoms out. Ultimately I would stay away. Sell and get into gold and energy. They are better long term holdings.

In about a week or so as it continues to decline it will be a great buy for the future...

Anyone with any good picks? I'm looking for something with a decent dividend to help me hold on longer.
