:stop Sponsors that "allows" spam, seriously...

I've been in touch with tons of traders i.e. affiliates this week which has had problems with spammer(s) last couple of months. I'm talking about spamming at affiliates guestbooks, boards etc which is often part of a website, probably with advanced postbots or whatever. Big scale spamming.

Now, the concern is not the spamming itself. That can be dealt with. But that sponsors dont react or read it when the spam is reported, even with detailed attached proofs of the spammings offered.

I mean, a few affiliates that spam on such large scale, are they more worth to you, than the other 100s of affiliates that have to deal with this bullshit on their websites?? Many of the affiliates are exactly not small ones and they might be promoting the same programs as the spammers. It really pisses people off, and now it have to end. Right now! Its time to pick some choices here.

PS! On behalf of everyone involved, I would like to thank those who has already reacted.

Good for you, yet you find the time to cry like a baby. Maybe you don't deserve to make sales at all

If you make this option available to them, it will be used.

Don't want it? Don't allow any posting on your sites or spend a lot of time fighting against it.

Some will hire you to help them fight it and let YOU be the only one to "spam" their system. (banana is the new groucho)

Of course, but its more complicated than that. Many forums, many members, with the same problems, and suddenly they should close it for member postings because of some few spammers? I dont think so. There are many moderators and scripts installed, but it wont simply do it. Reporting spammers is the last thing to do, and then it is really dissappointment that nothing happens. Im talking about "pro" russian spammers here, that systematicly rape the websites

You dont get it do you? Its not about whining about everyone. Its many webmasters that have problems with some few spammers. Probably one person or a "company". It has not been a problem for years, but now it is. I could compare it and say someone postboted a new topic at GFY every minute, and there is nothing they could do to stop it. Except take him out, by some help from the sponsors. If the sponsors give a shit, then what?

I have to agree with DirtyDane,I fucking hate these spamming viagra ad jerkoffs!! I mean if our customers are looking at porn that we produce or promote (these junkmail telemarketing kind of spammers are trying to and in some cases are getting in the way of sales) they should be able to look at it freely w/out having to think how limp their dicks are .I mean dont you hate when you sit down to dinner and get a call about switching long distance calling plans or all that shit you get in your E-mail boxes (like these viagra ads ciallis etc.) or even the dumbass commercials on T.V. today that start out with a woman jogging in the park and go on for 2 minutes w/out telling you what they are promoting then at the end of it they say ask your doctor what it can do for you, only later do you find out that it was a commercial for herpies or some other STD.This kind of shit sucks I dont have herpies I dont have a limp dick and I dont want to hear about medicines or drugs to treat these things (especially when I look at links) it's irritating and I know that customers dont like it.just my opinion (if ya dont like it go fuck yourself)

Fight spam its a waste of time budy.
Everytime you "kill" one, 30 born the day after.

You think when you cry to a sponsor you do great things.. hehe
They just kill the ID of the guy, and give him another one.

The time you lose fight this, you lose signups and worktime.

The funny part, lots of anti become spammers themself after some times. haha

what the fuck makes u think that mail traffic is shit?

chargebacks are the paysite's problems. if their tour doesnt advertise whats in it, then they should get the chargeback. but ppl who click are the ones who wanted to look at XYZ paysite.

if u ever throw down an sponsor program, please tell me ull turn down an affiliate doing 50 signups a day.

and u know what, i dont care how fucken ethical u are, u have a sellout price. dont tell me u wont sell out for 100k/month if u can on spamming so stfu.

what are u talking about? did I anywhere mention mail traffic? no.................... but I can comment what you say: Basically, if selling drugs to kids make me rich, its ok just because it makes me lots of money? thats the problem: people destroy this biz, result is governments and creditcard companies make hard rules.

selling drugs is illegal
spamming message boards, etc. may suck and be unethical, but it's not illegal...
what does that have to do with police that look the other way? doesn't make it any less AGAINST THE LAW

Sometimes I find another world
inside my mind
when I realise
the crazy things we do
It makes me feel ashamed to be alive
It makes me wanna run away and hide

It's all about the money
It's all about the dum dum.......
And you don't think It's funny
to see us fade away
It's all about the money
It's all about the dum dum...
and I think we got it all wrong anyway

Its not a competitor, since I dont promote most of those shitty things. One of the sponsors I have stopped promoting because of this.
Can't make it go away? Indeed, thats why I cry too...among with others who are tired of this bs.

It's a business.

It's about making money.

It's not selling crack to kids, it's offering something a surfer may be interested in. If they don't like it, the delete button is there for a reason.

Most sponsors are interested in a good bulk mail guy.

What's all this crying talk when someone complains about spammers? If you say "oh boohoo,go back to mommy" that must mean that you are a spammer yourself or that you condone spamming.I'm sure most of us use spam filters in our mailboxes so why should this be any different?I agree with Dirty Dane not only because I'm administrator on his forum as well, but it's a waste of the surfers time and our time for having to moderate those posts.Yes we DO moderate and we have a damn good mod team.As I said it's a waste of everyones time including the spammers when we knock down their posts anyway so what's in it for them?Nada.

Well that's bad argument, since spam means unwanted emails and in general unwanted posting at boards. As I speak of postings, if a board dont want the links, then it IS unwanted and it IS spam. You cant offer something people dont want you to offer? Some people just dont get it, and some just dont care, in lack of respect for other people.
Breaking someones rules or breaking the laws, is exactly the same thing. Only difference is that you wont go to jail for the first thing. You can say "hey, there's money in spamming other peoples boards" and do it, without facing consequenses, because your sponsor let you do it.
I just dont get it, that some people, in public, says its okay to do it, because it is "legal"? Same people scream for "freedom on internet", at the same time they destroy it. Thats hypocratic.

Thats my hole point
So, what can be done before it makes more damage (Visa, governments etc.) Hopefully most people want this biz to be selfregulating?
