My god... I need a Adelphia cable tech to come out to my house..

and the soonest anyone can get out here is JANUARY 27TH.

My god damn net just went down about 4 hours ago out of the blue and isnt able to get a signal, so ive called and called, and no one else is down around me supposedly, and right now im jacking the apt offices wireless internet which has adelphia too..

god damnit, almost an entire month to get a damn tech out here and im paying $80/month for just their stupid ass internet which cant even stay up more than 3 days in a row without having some m'fin downtime.

so now i need to call SBC and order DSL if my damn internet isnt back up tomorrow... stupid pos.. SBC better get there ass down here for next day installation hopefully.

ADELPHIA sucks in the SFV/Los ANgeles area. Too many damn problems. When I was living in LA, I used SBC DSL.

Tell them you are going to call the Public Service Commission in your state. Give them 24 hours to get a tech out there.

That is the only way you will get them to move. They may not even show on the 27th if you dont kick them in the ass.

Sweet, Ive got 2 supervisors personally looking into this for me now.. cant say that there arnt good people over at adelphia atleast trying to do their best.

Lets hope my net comes back up, or they get me an earlier appointment.

Nothing makes a company move faster than if you tell them you are switching to their competitor. Once when I wasn't getting resolution with a DSL problem I told them if I wasn't going to be using their DSL to cancel my phone account because I had been wanting to go with another service anyway. Long story short I was immediately transferred to someone who had the problem taken care of that afternooon.

Yup, Best thing to do, Comcast went down on me, They kept telling me it would be a week until a tech could come out, Yet i could pick up my nextdoor neighbors wireless which is comcast, So i called the local office and told them im sick of getting the run around and im going to go buy dsl if they dont quit this shit, the supervisor emailed a tech's pager and bam not even 15 mins later a truck was there and fixed haha

I know the feeling. I use adelphia as well (only because it's my only option out here). I ALWAYS have issues with my connection.

I haven't been able to get online these past few days, and I couldn't use my emails either.

When they first came to connect my modem, I told them I wanted a direct line NOT a splitter. Well, they don't listen. They put a splitter on the line anyway, so of course I get a low signal quite often.

In order to be able to use my modem, I had to remove the splitter (which means no TV in the room my computer is in) and connect the direct line straight into my modem.

I've called them about this numerous times and all they do is send a tech to look at it. I already know what the problem is, but they wont fix it for some reason. They'd rather keep coming out here for nothing.

Conclusion.....Adelphia has a bunch of morons working for them!

my nets still down :/ ima call SBC for DSL, but i dont have a phone line, so id need that installed and the dsl.. wonder how quick they can do that
