Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

How much does an affiliate design play into you promoting their sites?
Here's my situation... I'm getting ready to launch a new affiliate program. The sites are designed, being beta tested and converting well... but I don't have the affiliate program design built yet.
Now, while the majority of affiliate sites show a lot of fast cars, stacks of money and gold bars... that's just not the image I'm going after. I'm looking for a more subtle... kinda "speak-easy" approach. And honestly, the type of webmasters I'm gearing this towards aren't impressed by shiny objects on web sites. So basically, would a simplistic design... like a nastydollars, detract you from trying a new program. Keep in mind, we'd have the tools you want like hosted galleries, downloadable content, banners and full page ads but it would be served up in a more raw style. I'm curious to get some feedback on this because honestly... I've been on both sides on the fence and I'm currently taking on more affiliates with a plain white page with my icq # then I did with a $1500 flash design. I know how I feel on the issue, but I'm curious to know how the majority of webmasters feel. Any opinions on this are greatly appreciated. - PornAddict |

The programs I make the most off have simple design.
I never liked the "fancy" ones. I´m not there for cars. |

huh , ? you're not ? ? You plan on paying for your car with your job over at Wendy's ? ?? I for one plan on paying it through money generated through affiliate programs , I like cars in the designs , but they should have a $50k car in it and not a $200k car $200k cars are not really realistic for 99% of webmasters $50k cars are |

if you have content that is unique no one will give two poops really.
However, a program designed by envision next or madsights definatley helps people show you are here for real. I guess it all depends. Duke

I dont like affiliate programs who use flash, and still end up with a pimp ass setup.
IMO flash is for loosers who like to make shit more flashier than it needs to be. |
