DVI and non-DVI LCD's?

Is there a BIG difference between the two?

I got a new 19' lcd recently and used the dvi output for the first time and can't really tell that much of a difference between this and my non dvi lcds.

I will get myself a 17" and I don't have DVI output on on my laptop. But if I get one in the future with DVI, I might as well get a DVI LCD. But if there's not any difference, I might as well spend the extra money on something else

I think it is....I just bought a Samsung 21" flat-panel and when I went into the menu to look around....a lot of the items were greyed-out....even the color adjustment area.

It makes a significant enough difference that you want it.
