FTP problem
This may sound pretty basic to some but I've never encountered this before and feel kinda dumb....
I usually use cute ftp and never had any problems. But I recently moved to a new host and for some reason cute ftp hides files like .htaccess. I contacted the host and they logged in and said they were there. I downloaded Smart FTP and logged in and can now see them. Anyone ever had this problem or know a fix, as I like Cute FTP? Thanks

I am not sure if you are having the same problem I was, but I know my host had made some upgrades, and such w/ software, and servers, and I had an older version of CuteFTP and had to upgrade to CuteFTP 6.0 Pro to get in. Something to do with secure shell, or some shit.
But if that's not it, could be something in your settings. I know some hosts do not require SSL, or SSH. Some do. Varies by host and platforms I suppose. I have a two other hosts, and I could never log in w/ SSL like I have on my main stuff. They are just a basic FTP. ![]() |

Got it! I found the fix right before Darksoul posted the solution and that's exactly what I did. Thanks to everyone who replied
