They're C category boots, the very least I need for a month and a half in the mountains on (obviously) rough terrain.

ummm... c-class boots are _intended_ for extended periods of hiking on rough terrain.

Given several weeks in the wilderness, you will have to contend with early-morning moisture and most likely several days of rain. Wet socks and trench foot is no picnic.

Might want to do some reading up before you hit the trails, son, or it'll be a long long road.

The boots I have, and was referring to, _are_ C class boots. C class boots are big and bulky.
Those Asolo's look like a B/C at most, more likely a B, and thus not what I need.

Ehm... 3.5-4lbs per pair and goretex lining are not all that unusual in B class hiking boots. I didn't read the whole thing, so I didn't know they had crampon provisions.
Still, they look lower and less sturdy than any C's I've ever seen. (to be honest, they look almost exactly like the B's I've just replaced)
