The Stones are now embarassing themselves

With each passing tour, the dinosaurs lurch on and their cash grabs get more and more shameless.

Mick, don't you have enough money?

Hey, I ain't saying there isn't an audience. Boomers are aging after all.

I'm just saying that The Stones themselves should be embarassed.

Hell Yeah. The Stones and their fellow Baby Boomers are gonna REDEFINE the term "senior citizen." I think it's a good thing and would help OUR generation when WE hit our 60's.

The Stones are Rock N' Roll. Age is just a number to them. For them to stop would show that nature beat them.

I was a bit disappointed when I went to see the film "Dead Man Walking" as I thought it was a Rolling Stones documentary.

Agreed, they have always done great shows when I have seen them. Although Ronnie was pretty damn drunk at the Fender 50th Anniversary show

I saw them 6 years ago. They were great. They may not have anything new and may be really old but they look like they're still having fun and still put on a great show. If their performances sucked i'd say hang it up but as long as they can still rock out, more power to them.

regardless of what they are doing now, the Rolling Stones are one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time, easy.

one of my favorite playlists is nothing but rolling stones songs. they have one great song after another.

but yeah, keith richards is looking a lot like gollum these days.

The Stones have 42 successful years as musicians and no one will ever take that away from them. I am sure that money is driving this though. Maybe they can join Cher with the most farewell tours ever. The "This time I Really Mean it" tour.

I saw the Stones in the early 80s in Jacksonville's Gator bowl. Van Halen played before them and it was quite a contrast seeing a young rock band (old Van Halen when they really were impressive) and the Stones who were even then like Dinosaurs with 20 years of history behind them. Honestly, Van Halen blew them away at that show. The B-52s were the first opening act and got booed off the stage after two songs. During the second song people were throwing cups of ice mashed into balls at them. One hit one of the lead singers square in the head while she was bouncing up and down to Rock Lobster and she went down in a heap. The band exited immediately. The Stones were just ok imo, but then I have always preferred bands that add improvisation and variety to their standards. Like how the Dead use to be able to play a song with jazz or blues or even country emphasis. Same songs, but during their tours they always played the songs a bit different.

Thinking about this makes me wish Jerry Garcia was still alive.

But where are the Van Halen tours now? It's like the tortoise and the hare. The stones do it for the love of it. and they have an large established fan base and they'll probably do it until they die...They're the next grateful dead.

And I've never even HEARD a grateful dead song in my life from what I recall. That's how much of a legend they are.

bah, the Stones can still outperform nearly any of these younger bands today....
ina world of here today, gone tomorrow bands, it's refreshing to see the Stones get out there and play...

I look forward to seeing them again...

why do people always think it's about the money? some of you have never been on a stage in front of people playing your ass off and the rush that comes with it....sometimes the money really is secondary...

So then the tickets will be $10, right? Because as you say it's not about the money.

These greasy old men a just looking for one more paycheck. We have a joke here in Texas.

What has 60 legs and 20 teeth?

The front row of a Rolling Stones (insert name of 60's band) concert.
