yes you can, you owe to yourself, the online gambling industry is a multi million dollar industry, just host your site(s) on an offshore server. say from canada!

but dont promote the over-saturdated party poker program, promote poker.com vai http://affiliates.poker.com

its illegal in most states to play online poker too but does anyone police that ? no, and most of the casino operators are offshore, but check with your hosting company, cause they dont care where your from and they would legally know if they can accepts casino hosting.

the reason i say canada, is cause im from australia and host casino sites, and aussie host do not accept that but canadian host do.

poker.com is way better my friend, like its POKER.COM !!!! u cant get a better brand to promote !!!

The US considers the advertising of gambling sites to be aiding and abetting. This is the reason Google and Overture pulled all the gambling ads.

What about horse racing, dog racing, church bingo, state sponsored gambling (lottery) all legal...you can lose you paycheck or business receipts to horse racing etc., But oh nooooo....you can't play poker and win some fucking money! That's fucked up!

My last job was with an online poker site and It is illegal to solicit bets from a US location (read http://www.wsgc.wa.gov/FAQ/InternetGamblingFAQ.htm) according to the Federal Wire Wager Act. The law is, however, very vague but most online casino's (the smart ones) will avoid the legal question by being based outside the US.

Just to be clear I would not have the casino. I would promote through affiliate links. I see men.com has a gambling link. The mavericks owner has a link on his site. the code is gomavs. KRL and MArk Cuban are pretty smart. But maybe it is not them doing it. Or they are selling an ad spot to someone who is promoting gambling. Pretty complicated deal.

Here is a good article that explains the leglity of promoting gambling sites http://www.ecommercetimes.com/rsstory/42696.html

Excerpt from the article:

"Even so, the DOJ has maintained that Internet gaming advertisements, like online gaming itself, are illegal and that "anyone carrying them could be charged with aiding and abetting." Specifically, the department states that such advertisements are in violation of the Interstate Telephone Act of 1964 and that online gambling operators are violating the federal Wire Wager Act of 1961.

The DOJ has made good on its claims of illegality by issuing subpoenas to many well-known media outlets to stop them from running ads for online gaming. The most recent group of subpoenas were handed out on April 12 to Esquire magazine in regards to an eight-page insert billed as the "Gentleman's Guide to Poker" and sponsored by BoDog Poker."
