What are the best cities to live in around the world?

before you answer know that i am about cities with the highest standard of living, lowest crime (ie safest), safest from a war standpoint, safest politically, best facilities, good restaurants, good living, good cost of living.

and would be nuked last in an all out nuclear war?

Montreal is great because its got great shopping, lots of history, great restaurants, always something going on, french culture. To me, MOntreal feels like NYC but smaller and easier to manage.

Toronto is great because the people are super firendly, its clean, safe. The nightlife is great. I went to Toronto by myself and didn't know anyone and I had one of the best times in my life and met a lot of great people.

Seriosly though, my brother lives in Zurich and it is an awesome city but definately not cheap. Safest big city in the US is San Jose. Has been for years now. Living on the outskirts such as Los Altos, Los Gatos or Saratoga is nice.
