Designers & 2257
Sorry if already discussed.....
I assume, given the new 2257 laws, that any hardcore material in designers portfolio's will have to be complete removed. It would be an impossible task to expect current and former clients would send paperwork on every model ever used for for projects. What about future projects? Are we expected to collect paperwork on these models as well? How will this affect designers in this business?? Any comments? Suggestions? - Verbal |

I'm in canada so I don't have to worry too much , However I think US designers will have to put their portfolio in their backend , or have a system in place .

I guess we're just going to have to password protect our portfolios and require any potential clients to request the pass. |

I know it doesn't have the eye appeal, but I think the thing that makes the most sense is to use text links to show live examples of your work on other people's servers. Or you could use softcore logos, etc.
You could also buy some 2257 compliant content and use that to build samples. In US cases, sponsors will have to have documentation before they go live with any of your designs, which means the information should at least be accessible to designers. All we need to do is build our own databases using said information. The point is there are ways to deal with it. We just have to do it like everybody else. |
