secondary producer for purchased content?

ok this might have been hashed out already many times, but i just cannot get a straight answer from anyone, so if anyone could point me in the right direction...

the new 2257 secondary producer laws...what if i purchase content from a content producer - is posting thier information good enough? because although it says digital producing, i didnt have anything to do with the contracting, hiring etc.

and then what about sites like hotmovies and aebn? and what about if i sign up to be an affiliate for a website - am i responsible for all the documentation on that?? PLEASE advise...

thanks.

I will offer an opinion and a simple one. If you as a webmaster publish any content that is sexually explicit no matter who took it, even if it is just a premade banner you were given, then you need to store records. Same deal when it comes to being an affiliate.
This also means posting your name and address.

Though the above is not the hard part even though it is what everyone is bitching about.

GFY is the best place on the web for legal advice, so don't bother talking to a lawyer. Whatever you read on this site is always accurate.

If you post material on your website, you must have the proper 2257 documents.

If you link to other sites, you don't need the documents.

Don't waste your money on a lawyer!

Then do not use sexually explicit images, and link them.

If the DOJ launches an attack... It's going to be like shooting fish in a barrel...
