The best detective series ever produced in my opinion. Im thinking of buying the three DVD sets I saw on amazon. An amazon review hits it on the head:

Anyone else like this show? The one with Billy Connolly guest starring was pretty fucking good too.

I think All colombo murders are shown in the same begining of the story right

Well enjoy it while you can, cos I doubt there will ever be a detective show to rival Columbo. These days its much more about handsome looking leading guys without personality and snappy effects.

None of them have the charisma/charm Columbo has. Shows dont seem to focus on the characters anymore. Columbo is the fucking king.
