I tend to go for either Tyan or SuperMicro. They cost more but the quality is certainly worth it.

AMD or Intel?

I recently bought an ASUS K8VSEDX with a 64-bit 3400+

It rocks.. has everything I'll ever need and is rock-solid stable.

$75.00 on e-bay
