Hooking up my living room speakers to my computer. Need Help. - GoFuckYourself.com

I need a way to connect my computer to my receiver down stairs.
I want to be able to play music from my computer to my living room down stairs.

What is the best solution? What hardware do I need? What software?

I have a little experience I did connect my reciever to my computer. Please dont flame me Im only offering my opinion on the way I did it. I got an aux wire and hooked it from my computers 'sound out' to the aux connection on the back of the reciever. Then you just turn the reciever to 'aux' and it should play. I think you will need a pretty long wire. Maybe they have wireless solutions nowadays? I hope others offer you their comments as well. Have a good one!

That looks neat. I have to test out my wireless network to see if I get good reception.

I use the Airport Express and wirelessly stream music from my laptop to my stereo. works for Macs and PCs
