For all the paysite owners out here.....has anyone every tried going the cheap route with a site?

Something on the line of a $5.00 per month join with 3 months up front?

Granted you can sign up for alot of sites for $2.99 trials but most surfers are well aware that if they don't cancel the trial they are gonna get whacked for 30 bucks or more monthly.

Just a thought and wanted to see if anyone else had ideas on this.

Its a trade off -- higher conversion cuz its cheaper, but less per sale payout. The key here is VOLUME. This would probably work bets with partnership type affiliate programs.

Also, another consideration in making the "cheap little site" model work is to keep content CHEAP.

Oh that's a definite. I have a boatload of content I have licensed and I don't like paying high prices for content anyhow.

Belive me the memebers wouldn't be getting a huge amount of stuff, but to be honest I have been in more than my share of 30 buck a month sites that have shitty members area.

And remember too that we make most of our cash on the front end as it is, most members average a 3 month stay when you average the one monthers in with the long term guys.
