Paysite Owners: Are you losing your best surfers to affiliates?

If your paysite is not coming up in google and yahoo in AT LEAST the top 10 results for "paysitename" "paysite name" and "paysitename.com" you are letting your affiliates take some of the best sales you can get.

Very popular paysites can lose 10-30 sales per day.

A lot of paysites are naturally ranked top 10... but if someone comes along and uses seo to get an affiliate page above them then they are taking from the paysite's searches and forcing them to spend time and money to prevent this.

Those paysite owners are retarded. They could also make extra money by getting all of the typos to their domains but they don't. Most of them are happy to take that traffic from their affiliates. I really doubt a decent program wants to compete with the seo guys busting their balls for those top spots because those same guys send them hundreds or thousands of sales through other search terms as well.

Your paysite should come up at the top for the name of your paysite etc... if you are coming up for generic search terms then you are doing great. I know of paysites that are like this.

We aren't talking about people who promote your paysite to their search engine traffic.... if an affilaite has the top spot for sex movies and is promoting your site great...

I am talking about the se spammers and review sites that purposely target the name of your site in hopes to appear above you for that term and get that traffic.

If you do some seo work on your paysite so that it comes up at the top of the search engines for the name of your paysite you will stop losing thousands of dollars and you won't lose any affiliates either. If an affiliate stop promoting you because you are on top of them then clearly the only sales they are sending to you were coming from being listed above you anyways.

Also... if these guys are on the 1st page (top 10) at all even if you are #1 spot - they will still be making sales.

I am not trying to say that affiliates are stealing your traffic and they have no right to (though paysite owners have said this to me before) - I'm trying to say that paysites don't need to be giving away this money to their affiliates. It makes more sense to their bottom line to get the traffic directly.

This is a dirty point with me.Its very easy to stop the affiliate showing up for the paysite name but If I see that happening with my sponsors I remove traffic and they lose big time in the end because it stops them getting traffic for all other kws in the serachengines.Take for example cumfiesta.There the paysite plus an aff show for the first two.No problems.Actually all the affiliate links help the paysite come first for its name.Take away the aff links and it wont rank for its own name.
Now serch for cum and cum girls or cum fiesta or even amateur girls.You will see the affiliate link right up there thus bringing a lot more traffic to the site than it would for its own name.Now JOJO may be trying to make a quick buck lately, in fact he sounds desparate, but if paysite owners try to stop affiliates from what they do best and that is promote your site then you are going to fuck yourself right up.
In fact you should help the aff by optimising your site for the search engine and not try to redirect their links to you
