I just got over the flu, now I can't hear out of one ear. How do you pop these fuckers?! I tried plugging my nose and blowing out, only got worse.

there is nothing you can do about it.
You probably had a little infection in your ear.
It will take some time to go away. I have had the same problem.

It's rare for a "popped" ear to last for more than a few hours without it "popping" back by itself.
As Randy said, you probably have a build up of shit in your ear caused by an infection.
My suggestion is next time you get in the shower, pull the flappy bit on the bottom of your earlobe down and back, and while holding it like that, tip your head and let the hot water from the shower stream into your ear - the more pressure the better.
Then every now and then, stop and push that other flappy but on the earlobe (the one that sits in front of the opening) into the ear with your finger and wiggle alot.
The repeat the process several times.
That will help clean any excess wax out. Do NOT put those cotton stick buds in your ear unless you wanna risk permanenlty going deaf in that ear.
If that doesn't work, go to the chemist and buy some ear wax remover. That stuff will disolve any wax you have in your ear.
And as a last resort, go to the doctor and have it checked. If it IS just wax build up, he'll syringe your ear. This is nowhere near as unpleasent as it sounds.
It's just a high pressure hot water rinse right in the ear. It's actually alotta fun, especially when you see all the bugs and shit that have been living in there for years come out.

Although I've never tried it, I hear ear candling is pretty effective too... As is butt candling.

Ear candling is AWESOME, I heard shit I haven't heard in years after doing that.

Go to the local drug store and get you some stuff called Sweet Oil, in the bad ear, that will help.

Or use peroxide, that will also help.

Open and close your mouth at a rapid pace, that will do it.

Hold your nose, close your mouth and try to blow with your mouth and nose closed tightly, this will aslo work.

If none of these work, then you got me and will just have to wait it out.

I am a mom, so I know all these little tricks........... plus I had a very good granny, she used to help me thru these things like this.

There is probably nothing wrong with your ear besides a virus.

I had it last month after a mild flu bug and went to the doctor thinking that I had an ear infection. Wrong.. Doc said "nope".

Anyway, my ear had a severely plugged feeling for over 3 weeks and I could not hear very well .

My doctor advised taking sudafed and not worry about the ear unless it is plugged close to 12 weeks..

It was the weirdest bug that I have ever had and I could see someone asking around.. Alot of people around my area came down with it.. Lots of complaining about ONE EAR..
