Good inexpensive digital camera?
I would like to get my mom a digital camera for Christmas but I really don't know much about digital cameras. What cameras are good while being fairly inexpensive? I don't want to spend much over $200-250 on this, she's only going to be using it for family events and stuff like that, not professional pictures.
I bought a digital camera about 6 years ago and probably used it 5 times. A Sony Cybershot FV-505, I think. It was/is a great camera, just way too bulky for regular around-the-house use, so I may need to get a new camera for myself as well. Camera guys? Suggestions?

I just picked up the sony s90 for $189 from dell.com for my wife
It's got a 2.5 lcd and audio & video. Plus sony makes a light marine use case for around $59 bucks. It lets you take the camera to 4 meters or somthing like that. |

Try the low-end Kodak digitals. They're easy to use and take good pictures. Not too expensive either.

I agree, the Kodaks seem to be very user friendly with docking stations etc...
