Wordpress help please.

Ok I'm a newb at this blog and wordpress stuff. Anyways on my blog index page I create a post and it shows the whole post just like I want it. I also select to have it show up in certain categories which it does but it isn't displaying the whole post. It puts a [?] after part of it and that is not clickable or anythign to get to the full post. Also, the title above all that is trying to link to the full post but I get 404.

I have no idea wtf haha. Prolly just something stupid in options. I do have the full text option selected to show in each article.

Anyone have an idea?

have you tried to select "summary" instead of "full text". Thats what I have on both my blogs and it shows the entire article just fine.

it shows full article no matter if it is on the blog index page as well as a category page? I'm pretty sure that summary was selected by default and it wasn't any different.

You need to NOT type in excerpt box of article edit section. That will fix it.

My first guess too.
But actually, the template was using the_excerpt(), which obviously caused that problem. Easy fix, but that 404 issue was a toughie!
