Disneyworld, Florida...Disney Quest...
Anyone been? Is it any good? We been planning to take my son to Disney for his 10th birthday for about 6 years now...Friday we make the trek to Orlando. Is the Disney Quest thing worth checking out? Or will he not dig it and there is something better? We are ofcourse doing Magic Kingdom and MGM and Epcot and all that...just saw the Quest thing and it looked cool to me but I'd like to hear some real reviews from you guys if you have any. Thanks...

Magic Kingdom is pretty boring. MGM and Epcot are ok but not something you want to do all day.
Universal Studios is ok (You'd want to stay at Islands of Adventure most of the day if you (and they) like rides.

If he's into animals & mammals & fish, I'd do Sea World. I actually liked Sea World more than some of the other parks. If you have the time and money, also check out Discovery Cover. (although it may be booked for awhile) (Swim w/ dolphins and other pretty cool stuff)

Ok, for a 10 year old...he'll like all of the parks. Don't listen to other people who are older and have been tons of times and are bored with the parks. He'll like them all. Go to Disney, skip MGM, goto Epcot, Universal, Islands of Adventure (check his height and the height requirements first).
He would enjoy Disney Quest probably, you won't...I've gone to Disney Quest twice and I hated it both times. Very cheesy and nothing special. The rollercoaster builder has Super Nintendo graphics. He'll have fun with the parks though! |

I've been a few times when I was that age and maybe a little younger.
I can remember it being the neatest thing ever. But that was 30 years ago so I can't give you a recent update. (even though I live about 1 hour away) |

BTW, try to check out and see if the Travek Channel is running the Disney Vacation episode. That's usually pretty good for 1st timers and young kids.

![]() Last time I was there was like 91 with a school function and all I remember was that some dude farted in the Space Mountain line and it lingered for about 30 minutes and that I bought a cone with a hamburger and rice mixture in it at one of the food stands for like 9 bucks. ![]() I do remember the best thing I enjoyed while I was there was The Haunted Mansion. I thought the special effects were pretty cool. |

Hit up seaworld save 1 day per park for each park EPCOT Stands for (Every Person comes Out tired) It's a lot of walking. Magic Kingdom(Kiddy place good for his age)/Epcot(More for the adults)/MGM (starwars/indjones/tower terror/Rockinrollercoaster) IOA= Islands of Adventure (Rollercoasters/spiderman ride/(best theme park in orlando I would say) make a trip to tampa for Bushgardens if you have time. Other then that You have wet n wild/blizzardbeach/tyhoon lagoon/River country (mini parks/water parks)

After the Disney experience with a 10 year old and a 4 year old...I think I'll be all theme parked out lol. We have a Busch Gardens here and usually buy season passes so we go there like 5 or 6 times in the summer.
We nearly know the ride attendants by name. ![]() |
