WM! Sponsors should use same ratio basis: POST HERE!!!
This post is Dedicated to webmasters who feels concerned about their stats.
The trend nowadays is to hide the real ratios, to make stats look better. but... The real good and usefull ratio sounds to be : 1st pge uniques / sales and available easyly both for all the program, and for every site Why? 1) This is the most common use at the moment. 2) This enable webmasters to know precisely each sponsor's effectivity on their sites. Hiding these stats to webmasters means they are blind with their activity. They do not know how and who to promote accordingly to their traffic. 3) It also create bugs in their cash counters like Stats Remote or Unified Stats. So... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hiding: 1st pge uniques / sales = disrespect for wm and their activity -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How? what are the diferent ways major sponsors use to hide stats? 1) some sponsors calculate ratios on 2nd page, join page or equivalent 2) some sponsors hide the general stats, and just show ratios on 1st page, but from paysites, not the entire network Consequences... Regular sponsors see their competitors showing good looking stats. These stats ratio (from join page or second page) look very attractive and enable them to lie to a lot of newbies and get new afiliates. These sponsors that show the regular stats are tempted to follow the trend. If they don't, they think they loose potential afiliate and look crappy. So, they modify their stats area and starts hiding what they should show to be 100% transparent with their afiliates. This is a viscious circle... What can we do against "stats hiding trend" ? 1) Inform newbees about what real stats are and should remain. 2) Ask your cash counters to officially declare that some sponsors do not give them the real ratios (based on 1st page uniques) 3) Post here daily, your feelings about stats, the evolutions...make this post HUGE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEBMASTERS FROM FREESITES! If you share this concern, post here! at least post this: ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPONSORS: You still show, and want to show crystal clear stats and you actually respect these basic rules: a ratio is: 1st pge uniques / sales and available easyly both for all the program, and for every site Please post here also to defend yourself, and show the world you resist to this trend! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to GFY I am sure we can make things evoluate the right way, together. ![]() |
