Is south Florida still fucked up from Wilma?

I'm thinking about driving to Florida for a vacation. I would like to go all the way down to Key West.

Are they ready for tourists?

Just making sure. It is a long ass drive from Seattle. Would hate for it to look like New Orleans when I get there.

Just hope nothing develops from these last couple of systems lingering out there! We don't need another storm of any kind, not even a T.S.

The hardest hit areas were Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Most of the power is probably back up by now. You shouldnt have any problems. I dont think the Keys were hit very hard.

Most things are back to normal but some traffic lights are missing or almost working, so be careful driving. Other than that, it's fall in Florida! no leaves, no limbs!

They ran an article about this in the Sun Sentinel.

To answer the original question though, things are pretty normal again down here (minus A LOT of trees). I was suposed to get on a boat for the offshore powerboat poker run that island hops all the way down to Key West for the weekend. Its a really big shin-dig so i am pretty sure things have to be back to 'normal' down there in order for them to go forward with this event (i use normal lightly considering nothing is normal down in KW, haha).
