Best Teen Movie of the 80s?

I was a kid in the 80's, I didn't hit teens till the 90's but the movies that stick out in my mind are

"The Breakfast Club"
"Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
"Back to the Future" (sort of a teen movie but not really"
"Sixteen Candles" (which makes most guys vomit lol)

I have to say my favorite out of those was ferris bueller .

So what was your favorite teen movie from the 80's? Even if you were not a teen in the 80's but you've seen all the movies, which was your fave?
And all people who WERE teens in the 80's, what was your fave teen movie?

I love 80's teen movies and I loved the mini-revival back at the end of the nineties.

The Breakfast Club
Better Off Dead
One Crazy Summer
Say Anything
The Last American Virgin
Sixteen Candles
Private School
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Pretty in Pink

the list goes on and on.

when i was little me and my friends used to refer to most of these as titty movies.

The sure thing is good

best hands down no questions is the breakfast club

ferris bueller is still good, but even as an adult
breakfast club never gets old, ferris bueller you can outgrow

John Hughes wrote most of the good ones, amazing how many he did of the ones we all like.

Molly Ringwald, anthony michael hall, and John Cusak movies pretty much sums them up

One Crazy Summer is definately up there

I think the best ones started in 1985 and 86 with Hughes writing and they are much better than the ones these days (she's all that etc), not into the ones older than that much. weird science also is a great flick.

last american virgin I will have to look that one up

Stand by me is a great one, not a comedy, but a great movie, same category as goonies I guess.

Lucas is a good movie from then, agree with sixteen candles

some of the answers given make me wonder if I have the foggiest idea what a "teen movie" from the 80's was.

Scarface was a "teen movie?" And so is Sixteen Candles. So, what exactly is the common thread that tie them to the teen movie genre?

I will say, I have only heard of a few of those movies, but I still watch Bueller. Would Wayne's World qualify as a "teen movie?"
