Spamming WM's terminted *YES*

I think I'm on a crusade here now. Within the last 24 hours I've had 4 different spamming webmasters accounts terminated for spamming. Damn, this is beginning to be fun - If only I could get what they earned

Have they been terminated or did the programs just tell you they were terminated?

Yea that?s a grey area in this business. They all say they have a zero tolerance of spam. But are they sticking to that policy, think there are a lot of wolfs in sheep?s clothing, it makes them money! Fucking hypocrites ! That?s why I don?t bother with reporting spammers anymore. I just press delete as hard as I can and hope it will go away!

*LOL* But it wont go away. You just end up with a fucked up keyboard.

I don't know if they're terminated for sure, but sure hope so. Maybe I should keep a log of the webmaster id's I've reported and then compare them to knew spams. This should show if the sponsor kept their word or not.

What's fun is killing wm's for spam when you run the program. Then you KNOW they've been shut off and won't be paid. Suckahs.

I get them booted all the time. lol In the last 3 weeks the score is 63 now I believe.

And YES Gary, I follow up on the spammed pages and they come up 404 etc real soon after I turn them in. We started that when the old mans kids mailboxes started getting blind porn spam.

So if **YOU** are a spammer.... I'll be waiting! ;-)

Sponsors should give the reporting person a percentage of the profits if any are made in the spammers column. We could keep the spammers down as well as the sponsor still DID make money from them. 10 - 50% depending on how much they made.

Gem* spammers

You sure would love that, but unfortunately for you, I'm not smart enough to spam. I wouldnt know how to do it without having my hosting, internet connection and everything else shut off.

But, from reading mesg boards over the years i do know that there are sponsors that will tell you spammers have been cancelled, but they havent. Your not that naive are you?

I've never spammed, God forbid, but no wonder you people are always bitching about not making any fuckin' money, if this is how you spend your time. "Crumbling porn biz" -- what the fuck do you expect? You're sitting in your shack in the trailer park on your 486 tracking down spammers, your kids are screaming and starving and scratching and catching ringworm in the dirt outside and they don't even go to school, all because you're obsessed with the evil spammers. Do yourself a favor and either quit the business and become a "sandwich artist" at your local Subway, or ignore the spammers and do some fuckin' work. The spammers are laughing their asses off from their beachfront mansions every time they read shit like this.

You'll never win fight against SPAM. It's a lost battle.
I am getting about 60 SPAM e-mails a day.
It's much faster to hit delete button than actually reading it.

I just love getting adult spam...

I mean, wouldn't you think that any adult webmaster who has worked in this business, is more than likely interested in image src'ing the spammer and his/her sponsor than buying a membership

**Your not that naive are you?++

Read closer Gary.... I go back and check to see when the aff ID number on the link goes 404... and amazingly, alot of sponsors email confirmation as WELL as a thank you for taking the time.

As for you Redbone. stuff it. I live in a 3400 sq foot house, our kids are grown and on our worst day out, we do better than your best day. *I* have the freetime to chase spammers.

Don't like that? Oh well.

486?!?! lmfao Hardly. Maybe you are describing your own homelife darlin'.

And yeah I know we won't win against spammers until laws take effect to make it an offense in some way but it does give a good feeling to see those jerks get the boot when WE make sure to obey sponsor rules. Let them live in their seaside mansions etc. We laff when one gets the ocean in the living room when it belongs to idiots that deserve it. lol

Hmm do you keep your curtains drawn so you won't possibly see someone break in to the neighbors house?

Rules ARE rules. If WE obey them others should have to as well.

Please refrain from inflating the importance of your minor role.

I would more closely equate it to the type of people that lash out at others for say playing music in an apt. building, walking a dog without a leash or skateboarding on a public curb.

These aforemetioned people seems to attempt to gain something by pointing out the behavior of others.

Further they exhibit a need for acceptance and recognition of their reporting act. [often repeating the story etc]

And often sadly, the person who is so hung up on tattling on others has something to hide themselves: like attention craving or "powertrip" personality types, or a feeling of guilt for another irrelavent issue that just manifests itself in this way.

No, Gary, she isn't any nicer in person, but I've heard she's a lot older that you might expect, and bitter as hell, and a wicked drinker. I think she made up her story about the house and kids and all that after watching "Lifestyles of the Hopelessly Middle Class" on UPN and getting all sentimental because her porn empire is crumbling, invaded by the spamming hordes from the east. But let's not be too cruel. She's obviously got menopause going on, and if she wants to chase spammers, well, maybe that helps keep her demons at bay.

Wow, that was awfully ad-hominem, wasn't it? I couldn't help it. She laughed at my 486.

But yeah, Gem, what do you do with your junk snail-mail?

wait, you want a % of a hardworking spammer's 100+ joins per day? Wouldn't that make you guilty by association for making money from spam (you would be making money from spam by doing this).

The problem is this - I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but last month AT&T reported that something like 30% of it's total network traffic was Spam related. The spammers aren't paying for that. The backbone companies and the people who buy bandwidth (us) are..

Spammers are the scum of the earth, and I would fully support executions as punishment. They're just thieves like any other.

If I haven't made this clear enough for all of you people comparing spam to junk mail, I will now:

Bulk snail mail is payed for by the sender. And in fact, it makes up the bulk of revenue for the USPS. That's why stamp prices aren't higher. It's legit, if annoying.

Spam is payed for by the open relays they bounce it off, and every SMTP server that recieves it. It is in fact theft of services, and as of now it's causing serious network congestion. It will be stopped, and under a couple states existing laws, spammers can now be sued for each unsolicitied email.

If you bury your head in the sand, soon the sand will bury you.

Cheers,
Backov

I disagree. If i'm burying my own head in the sand, i can also un-bury my head. the sand has nothing to do with it. I mean, i've buried myself in the sand up to my neck when i was a kid, the sand didn't take over and bury my head.

You give sand way too much credit.

A bounty for reporting spammers? You have to be morons,in most cases the sponsor WILL can the account but they dont like to,why? Because a spammer is making 20 times more with that sponsor than a regular low class webmaster...why would they pay YOU for reporting their best affiliates?
Hate it or not,we all know spam has made the gigantic companies what they are, once a company gets to much heat for allowing spammers...they start terming accounts but already have themslves set with the recurring members
Maxcash,ARS none of them would be where they are without it... Just delete the shit

Bulk mail is a large portion of all mail, they also pay 30% less then we do. USPS is losing money, we keep paying more, bulkmailers keep paying less. everytime you send a letter you pay for a mail carrier to deliver your bulk mail. How many billion is the USPS in the red now? who will pay for this? we will, thus once again paying for bulk mail

Well see what I received today in the mail. Makes my heart all warm.

Dear webmaster,

We present our apologies for causing such inconveniences. Our
partnership program strongly forbids any kind of SPAM.

Nevertheless, on April 4th, 2002 at about 10:00 a.m., U.S. Eastern
Time, one of our advertisers, a certain Dmitriy Galkin with ID
"freemuff" violated our terms. For the dispatch of SPAM a hacked server
was used. In this regard a criminal prosecution will take place. The
account of this person has been closed and we are planning to close all
of his advertising accounts in iBill as well.

Please, accept excuses for inconvenience.

Best regards,
ShockingCash Team

Why are you wasting your time trying to shut spammers down instead of minding your own business? Are you that dumb you can't figure out how to spam yourself? I think its all about jealousy.

You think 1 complaint counter-effects the 10million that were sent out?

HAHAHA

you can never stop the spam, infact u won't even make a dent.

I get a lot of spam email, but also I receive a lot of sapm on ICQ. I know that I can change my setting for not receiving spam on myICQ anymore, but what I like from it, it's when I get the ICQ spammer account close.

That's the best part about spammer.

When i get spam, i hit the delete button. Sure, it takes half a second to do it, but i can spare the time.
