Independent movies are about gay cowboys sitting around eating pudding

Suppose to be an excellent film ... at least it's better than Hollywood re-creating another old movie.

True.
I just thought it was funny. When I heard about the movie and the story it made me think of Cartman in the episode where the Sundance Film Festival moves to Southpark
.

Haha, that one is funny. SP doesn't have any of the perks for the celebrities. I love that one ...

besides, every movie that gets nominated by some dipshit critic panel for an award never seems to be my type of movie...

im not a steel magnolias, crying game kind of guy...

gimme comedy, action, adventure, and scary movies any day.

which reminds me, anyone notice that thier havent been very many good movies lately...

i went to see wolf creek thinking it would be descent, but no such luck... the idea of that (what happened in wolf creek) happening is a scary thought, and it very well can, and does occasionally happen... but the villian was NOT scary at all in that film.

it was supposed to be "as scary as texas chainsaw massacre" but it wasnt even close.

I was going to rent it before I looked into what the story is about, bunch of clowns recommended it in the other thread, but like MikeyFingaz said, watching a gay love story flick, doesn't sound apealing at all....

I'd probably check it out if they put two chicks in the lead and called it Brokeback Cowgirls.

I went to see The Producers at Christmas, it had been TOTALLY panned in the reviews, but I had a total blast and haven't laughed so hard watching a movie in a long time.

Comedy musical for perverts, it works pretty good

Bah, they NEVER give slapstick comedy good reviews whatsoever, and while they might not be intelligent films or stupid, the majority find them funny and entertaining (ie: Austin Powers, Dumb and Dumber, etc).

While The Producers isn't exactly slapstick comedy, it's rare to find one that is judged accurately.
