yah, i tried it a couple nights ago, fealt alot like 151 when it hits ur stomach/throat with a strong licorice taste. I didn't hallucinate either, but I think you have to drink alot.

Yep! Drink alot, and not only will you see green fairies you may even get possessed by one! (of the bad faeries variety)

I shared a bottle with a friend a year or so ago (the memories are still vivid!) I felt a little like Linda Blair in the Exorcist

A friend of mine made some a couple of years ago. We didn't hallucinate, either, but maybe we didn't drink enough. What we did get, though - both of us - was a pain in the lower left area of our backs. It seemed like it aggravated the sciatic nerve area. We never could figure out why that happened.

Here we go again. You're not gonna hallucinate. The only thing that will happen by drinking more is that in the worst case you pass out from the alcohol.

Absinthe, well real absinthe at least, is made with wormwood which, when dististilled, basically has the same effect on you as THC which is the drug in pot that gets you high. So if you drink a lot of it it will give you a similar high to smoking pot. Obviously how much you need to drink before it really fucks you up depends on what type you get. Also if you "louche" the absinthe, which is to deslove a cube of sugar with about a shot glass or so of cold water into the drink, it will help to sweeten the taste.

Ya, all of the historical accounts of people going crazy/seeing things/dying on absinthe aren't really due to the wormwood, but the obnoxiously high percentage of alchohol in the beverage.
