Why does webair suck so much ass.
I've got multiple accounts with webair. Each webair account has a different bank account or credit card to be billed to. I've cancelled 2 accounts with them, those two were from all of my files just dissappearing and support not doing shit about it. This was a looong time ago.
I was just checking my bank account that was linked to one of those closed accounts, and I see two charges, one on 2/2 and one on 2/6. Now even if I had an account still, there should only be one charge, but there's two, and that account has been cancelled. I called their billing support, after being on hold for a retarded amount of time, i get forwarded to an answering machine? How unprofessional and shitty is that. Fuck Webair. I know there's a lot of webair followers out there, and I was too.. but keep in mind 1) i've lost EVERYTHING including SQL databases, and nothing was done about it. 2) this double billing with shitty billing support issue. You could be next. |

2 of my databases disappeared when I first set up with them. Luckily the site was not live yet. They never could explain it. Either way, I stayed, and they've been good to work with.

my shit got hacked and the "support" dude basically said "And?" he told me to change my pw and if it happens again then they'll investigate. The Webair rep I told what happened, igonored me....
other than that, it's been an average experience at webair |

update:
I kept calling billing and nobody ever answered. At the phone menu it says stay on the line to speak with someone, so I did. When whoever answered the phone I said "I just got billed twice this week by you guys and I don..." and he cut me off and goes "That was you that made that post?? Nice post by the way. I'll credit your account" |

Billing is open 9 to 5 thus when you hit the billing selection you received a message...Your VIRTUAL BASIC account with us was cancelled in may of last year. IF you were charged i'll have someone from billing call you tomorrow during billing office hours and credit your account accordingly...Additionally, I looked up the notes on your account... Your account was compromised due to your running vulnerable scripts at the time. We fully backup SQL clusters and all virtual servers all you had to do was ask for a backup and you would have received one. No request was made...
Flaming on this board will not get you billing support any faster than calling during normal business hours btw =)) I do wish you better luck with your new host... ![]()
