Did anyone else notice when the guy drives the truck into the car-shop parking lot, and bumps the front end into the curb? I cant remember if that was gone in 60 seconds, or the fast and the furious...

haha! bunky the "thievin" bastard!

I had a run in with the law when I was 15... If it wasn't for the "victim" as they called him, I would have a marked record, and my life would be fucked... The guy had spent almost half his life in prison, but had been going strait for 10 years. We're good friends now :D

couldn't stomach the idea of seeing fast and furious but Gladiator rocked. American Pie 2 was funny as hell. Memento would be my pick for movie of the year. I did see gone is 60 seconds but only because it was on a date and I knew if we did what she wanted she would swallow later that night

Um, if you liked Gone In 60 Seconds and The Fast & The Furious, you probably won't like these movies, but they were my faves of 2001:

Amelie
In The Bedroom
Ghost World
Mulholland Dr.
Made

P.S. GLADIATOR WAS NOT RELEASED IN 2001!

With Rachel Leigh Cook? I saw "She's All That" but I don't remember seeing him in there. I know he's in "Road Trip", and I'm gonna go rent it this weekend! Another good movie is Scary Movie 2, and Valentine. Does anyone know any other good light hearted teen flicks on video, like "Legally Blonde" type stuff?

One of those movies which makes you think. Hey, you "Pi" guys, good choice, if you liked that, you will love memento.

Was Requiem For A Dream made in 2001? The unedited was another great movie

Requiem was 2001 and Pi was 2000...I can't wait to see what Aronofsky(sp?) does with the Batman Firts Year movie

amongst my favorites:
Ginger Snaps
Devil's Backbone
Battle Royale (technically a 2000 flick, but didn't make it stateside til 2001 and even then had to use waaaaaay underground sources)
Mullholland Drive
Monster's Ball
Lord Of The Rings
Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone

I gotta agree that Memento was probably the most memorable one I saw last year... (OH THE IRONY)

Lord of the Rings was good... but it didn't blow me away.

I actually liked A.I. too
