most people use outlook, I think. Just don't subscribe to many of them and your program will take forever to load all that stuff

Outlook mostly sucks for accessing Usenet newsgroups. It was never really designed to be efficient as a newsgroup reader.
The best app to use is Xnews - http://xnews.newsguy.com/ - freeware. It'll read the new yENC encoding which many of the binary groups are now using. |
