UNC +7 Tonight
What a lock that was. Duke lost two in a row now. Guess they finally realized that all that offense is nothing without a defense.

Reddick sucked ass tonight. A few bad calls at the end by the refs but it shouldn't have come down to that.

UNC did not give him an open shot. If had as many open shots as Reddick is used to getting per game i could average 40 points a game too.

I wish I had but no I didn't. I have lived in NC for about 16 years so I became a UNC fan. Down here they are real big into basketball, fans having UNC, Duke and State. But the Duke UNC has been a huge rivalry for years now. ![]() |

NC somehow always seems to come up for the big game and Duke is on a downturn... not a good time of the year to be doing that. GW is the Sleeper. Did you see that tip in on the overtime. What luck... if that keeps up they will win it all. All overshadowed by Kobe and Lakers taking the Pistons last night.

Great to see UNC pull it out last night. I can't believe that Duke lost at home on Senior Night. Redick hasn't gotten much the last four games. GT, Temple, FSU, and UNC have done a nice job on Redick.
I'm off to Vegas for the first weekend of March Madness. It's awesome. Basketball all day!!!!

Duke has to be the biggest OVERRATED #1 in NCAA history. All they have is a decent big guy, and a streaky shooter.

WOO-HOO!
My story last night: I was at home working when my friend called and said "WOW! Can you believe this game?!?! I thought the game was on Sunday and pulled an emergency evacuation to a local sports bar. The place was packed with Duke fans with the exception of a very attractive italian lady wearing a UNC sweatshirt. We watched the last 4 minutes together including the thrilling ending. Afterwards we discovered we were both UNC Alumni and made plans to hang out together next weekend for the ACC championship. As we left she asked me what I do for a living. Then she told me to have a nice life. GO TARHEELS! ![]()

Although I really got caught up in college basketball last year, I will say that I hate North Carolina. Nothing there that I have lost at all. But I will say that NC has been good for only 3 things.
1. My wife 2. Corrosion of Conformity (although the lead singer is from Louisiana) 3. J.J. Reddick Okay, he has had some off games, but this guy his one of the best shooters period. Anyone who argues otherwise is a hater. Fuck you haters. If this boy goes pro, I may be inclined to start watching pro basketball. This kid is a hell of a shooter. I hate that I missed the game, but glad I didn't have any money riding on it. Other than the 3 above mentioned things, fuck NC.

I am. Never really was before, but Duke has the best brain tumor research/program in the entire country. It's pretty much the mecca for all things related to brain cancer and most people with tumors will travel there at some point.
I have a Duke jersey that I wore this weekend and a Duke blanket/throw that I cover up with while I'm on the computer sometimes.

The NCAA tournament is a wide open affair this year. Any one of about a dozen teams I'd say could cut down the nets. Hey, give UNC props here whether you're a Dukie or a Tar Heel. That young bunch of freshman went into Cameron on Senior night in front of that crazy buch, Dickie V and a national TV audience--international too cuz I caught the game live here in the Philippines--and walked out with a huge W.
Don't worry Duke fans, the big picture is still ahead for you guys. Im not sure how the tournmanet is seeded in the ACC, but you know UNC and Duke are destined to meet each other again next weekend sometime. BTW, my Gators beat Kentucky for the fourth straight time. We're 24-6 with a team that starts 4 sophomores. We could make some noise in a few weeks too! Love this time of year. |
