What are some of the myths your parents told you that you grew up to belive but found out are not true. Here's two from my youth.

1. That I can't eat chocolate chip cookie dough cause it has raw eggs and you will get salemenal sickness and die. Funny it became my favorite flavor of ice

2. Chewing Gum secret ingredieants is spider eggs so never fall asleep with gum in your mouth or you will wake up with spiders in your mouth. And dont you dare shallow it it will be in your body for 6 years.

Those are two quick ones i just thought up now. What are some of the myths your parents told you growing up?

Actually this is true if the dough is homemade. If you are talking about the tube stuff then no because the eggs are pasturized first.

That drinking milk when you're sick produces more phlegm ... it's one bit of nonsense I've never been able to disprove (as in, when I'm sick I'm so stuffed up - milk or not - it's impossible to tell)

Just to be safe, I lay off the dairy when I'm ill.

Alot of times when you are sick you become lactose intolerant. We are not supposed to eat dairy products so that is actually part true.
