As many of you know this guy from www.pornscraper.com has been ripping off images from many sites (such as mine).

I have been sending him back and forth and he has agreed to take my site off his hot link list. Here is the last e-mail correspondence with this guy.

Make sure you go to his site and check to see if your images are being hotlinked as well... He could be costing you a pretty penny.

"Then why didn't you just ask in the first place? Since you raised the point -- you're costing yourself money. You can prevent direct linking by testing the HTTP_REFERER of a request. You can even redirect clients to a page full of ads when this condition is met, which would help you, not hurt you.
On a more pleasant note, I do honor requests from webmasters, and will add your sites to my filter list.

"Perhaps, but from everything I've read and heard, it's not specifically illegal right now in the US. In otherwords, there's no previous court decision that would set the precedent. Also, I'm not trying to make any money from it whatsoever, and I don't have much to my name, so a lawsuit wouldn't be too fruitful anyone. It's been a fun programming experiment at best. Truthfully, it's using too much damn bandwidth these days anyway, so it's probably going away soon.
