I can't speak for every webmaster, but since the topic was beaten to death on their own board, I'd assume most know about it. Whether they made it clear or not we are still promoting them.

It's simple really: If you feel it's unfair, don't sign up. If you just found out and don't like it, pull your links and see if you make more somewhere else.

If anyone knows CamSense, they start at 10% lifetime. To me, that's way too low and well below competitors. However, they convert and retain well so I stick with them. In the end, it's your choice.

I have had 10 years in this business and I'm tired of the constant suspicion that some of my income quietly disappears here, some of it there: never mind the times when sponsors, payment processors or whoever simply stop paying.

We all work under that cloud yet every time someone bends or even breaks the "rules" there are always people queuing up to make excuses for them. We might as well hang out signs saying "Screw Me".

he didnt raise a question he cut that from a forum that was easy to understand and posted it here because he thought it was "funny" , he was trying to bash them . A question is a question.

what it boils down to folks you can get 20-30% of nothing for life with lots of programs sharing cams

OR

I have been promoting AWE since the days that they started with Livejasmin. I never had any trouble with them. Actually im doing pretty well with their program.

However I may have done better if they put the lifetime of their cookie a little higher.

For my own paysites I use cookies + when a member registers the referral remains with the webmaster for ever. Our cookies stay for 9 months....

what people should really pay attention to in this thread is the people praising AWE , notice how quite a few of them are riding competing cam programs in their sig.. that should tell you something .. awe isnt for everyone , and its not a "catch all" solution to your cam traffic, its an established cam program that sells like hotcakes.. take the advice of people that know or the advice of people that dont..

Best post in this thread and this sums it up. Smokey has admitted he is new to revshare cams and is unfamiliar with other programs but yet he continues to feel compelled to bash them. The one thing you have been diligent about Smokey is finding and exposing sponsors who are cheating, deceptive and sneaky. First, show me the "many" other threads you elude to where the AWE 14 day cookie was discussed in detail on gfy, it hasn't been. Smokey, its not "most" other revshare cam programs that are for life, but "all" others. AWE is preying upon the fact that webmasters who promote cams automatically assume its lifetime revshare. They do not mention it anywhere on their site as Jay mentioned, this is deliberately deceptive as it should at least be mentioned in their terms and part of their program details.

Smokey, forget about which is a better cam program, that has nothing to do with what is being discussed. It would just be nice to at least hear you say that AWE should have been more forthright in conveying to webmasters this important part of their compensation. I feel like when a company that is in your sig is being discussed you lose all sense of objectivity, the same thing happened in the spa cash discussions.

The problem is, this is the only issue that is being discussed here, Smokey is the one who decided to bring up all these other issues that are irrelevent. Don't feel stupid, I made the same assumption. I've looked at dozens and dozens of cam programs over the last 7 years and this is the first time I've heard of revshare not being for life.

Think about if a non-cam adult sponsor had a 50% revshare option. You'd naturally assume you got rebills for life, because thats always been the way adult sponsors work. Now, what if it was found out that a sponsor only gave the 50% revshare for the first three months, but decided not to disclose this to any of their webmasters. Once it was found out there would be an uproar and tons of pissed of webmasters, AWE did basically the same thing.

might wanna look at those sites a bit closer..

they dont pay you on upsells.. ever been on the inside of a revshare non-cam site ? most of them have upsells up the ying yang, and you dont get credit.. so if surfer signs up for a month you get 50% of that but he could rebill for 10 years and you aint getting a dime..

Whether they made it clear or not we are still promoting them. It's simple really: If you feel it's unfair, don't sign up. If you just found out and don't like it, pull your links and see if you make more somewhere else. If anyone knows CamSense, they start at 10% lifetime. To me, that's way too low and well below competitors. However, they convert and retain well so I stick with them. In the end, it's your choice.
