Yes, i've been inside 100's of them, and I'm well aware of member's area upselling. What does this have to do with my post, nothing. I could care less what the sponsor does with my surfer inside their members area as long as he remains a member and I'm compensated. I'm well aware of shady sponsors who divert members to their other sites, but that has nothing to do with point. Why don't you tell me how my scenario is any different than what AWE did?

an interesting side note to this thread,

The majority of people with cams in their sigs ( regardless of who the sponsor was ) has good things to say about awe.

The majority of the haters either dont have a sig or arent promoting a cam sponsor in their sig..

Wonders never cease. Despite what you think, I don't hate AWE, I still have their links up, although after learning of their policy I won't be adding any new ones. I run tests all the time from the same traffic source and compare $/unique on large blocks of traffic. I compare stats a week after the traffic is sent and then again after 3 months. Last year when I tested 9 like cam programs AWE came in 7th at 2.7c/unique. Not bad, but nowhere near what I make with other programs. They are like all sponsors, they work better for some and not so for others. I wasn't here to bash AWE, i just felt that you were brushing off what many consider to be a huge amount of deception from a sponsor.

i wouldn't promote revshare that had upsells or cross sales. seems sponsors are trying to fuck affiliates every way they can. are things in adult getting that bad? the only reason this isn't more of an issue is that most webmasters don't sign up themselves to check out the site first. its pretty much the same deal with awe, most webmasters won't check out their forum.

Here is what I am getting at.... It is not cleary stated that you only get rev share for 14 days after you send a surfer or customer.

AWE does not payout pass 14 days after you refer a customer to their program.

That is just plain shitty. I hope they change their policy but they can do whatever they want.

I want other webmaster to be aware that they only get 14 days worth of rev share.

Then when a few find out what they are doing, they come out and post their policy yet still don't list that as part of their program details on their webmaster page.

That's over 30 days and this guy is still making me money..
I think the 14 day cookie is just for initial join, not once the surfer has an account. If it's not, don't tell AWE I'm still making money off this guy, cause he's paying my bills with all his topping up of credits!

The amazing thing is this is not a new policy or a new company. I am not a fan of sponsors who lie or cheat. The way the TOS reads and the way it is done in reality does not match.

I think the 14 day cookie is just for initial join, not once the surfer has an account. The amazing thing is this is not a new policy or a new company. I am not a fan of sponsors who lie or cheat. The way the TOS reads and the way it is done in reality does not match. Who wants to promote someone who would do that?
