Reminds me of a time I set up my vidcam up on tripod on a windy beach in Barbados to record the sunrise. My buddy and I went fishin' farther up the beach for an hour...and came back to find the entire camera glistening with salt spray.

I figured that was the end of it - but we took it back to the beach house, dismantled it...and cleaned it all thoroughly. Damn thing worked for several more years after that will no probs. Surprised the hell outta me.

It was a first generation Sony V5 - 8mm. Great little unit.
